New Blood Pressure Guidelines Could Medicate Millions Without Cause

Share

The medical establishment just moved the goalposts again on blood pressure. The American Heart Association released new 2025 guidelines that will push millions more Americans into taking expensive medications. This is the same playbook we have seen before from Big Pharma and their allies in government health agencies.

Under these new rules, nearly half of all American adults now have high blood pressure. The guidelines keep the same numbers as 2017 but push for earlier treatment with drugs. They want to put people on medication even when lifestyle changes could work just as well.

The guidelines now use something called the PREVENT risk calculator to decide who needs pills. This computer program will tell your doctor you need medication based on government formulas. It takes the personal relationship between you and your doctor out of the equation entirely.

What they are not telling you is the real cause of high blood pressure for most people. It is not just salt like they have been saying for decades. The root problem is often insulin resistance from eating too much processed food and sugar that big food companies push on us.

Instead of fixing the real problem, they want to put you on drugs for life. These medications can make you dizzy and cause dangerous falls, especially in older Americans. But the drug companies make billions when healthy people become permanent patients.

The medical industry loves guidelines like these because they create more customers. They turn normal variations in human health into diseases that need expensive treatment. This is not about your health, it is about their profits.

Real health comes from eating natural foods, exercising, getting good sleep, and managing stress. These simple changes often lower blood pressure naturally without any side effects. But you cannot patent lifestyle changes, so the medical establishment ignores them.

Americans need to take back control of their health from government bureaucrats and corporate interests. Do your own research, ask tough questions, and remember that you know your body better than any government guideline. Your health decisions should be between you and a doctor you trust, not some committee in Washington.
